Today we are 36 weeks and 5 days along. Full term is considered 37 weeks, which is Friday. Due dates are set at 40 weeks-which for us is May 20th. Wow...time has sped along!
We had an appointment today and all is going well. Scheduled c-section is still on course for May 17th (time is TBD). If labor happens to begin before then depending on the circumstances will depend if they'll do a c/s or allow me to attempt a VBA2C. So you can bet about 38w or so I'll start trying all the crazy old wives' tales to try to get things moving! Probably won't work but hey, worth a shot! Or maybe the spices from crawfish boil we're going to this weekend will kick things into gear (G...is your bag packed yet? ha!).
The OB estimated that Keighan is right around 5 pounds now and said he'll be in the high 6's or low 7's at birth. I think I will go into shock if a child of mine comes out that small! Landon was 8lbs 9oz and Logan was 8lbs 10.5oz. It would be nice to have a newborn who is actually the size of a newborn, and such an odd feeling too. Well, who am I kidding...holding a newborn again is going to be such a weird feeling. It's only been 3.5 years, but still feels like an eternity. I hope it's like riding a bike and things will pick right back up and I'll know what to do! Although I must say I don't have much faith in their weight estimates-we were told Landon was just over 6lbs only 2 days before he was born based on an ultrasound.
Landon and Logan are getting increasingly excited about their baby brother. Today at the OB there were twin girls just a few weeks old. The boys were so into them and wanted to know all about them. Thankfully their mom was great and thought the boys were hilarious. Landon likes to tell everyone how we're about to have a third boy in just a few weeks and likes to sing to Keighan. Logan likes to give my belly hugs and kisses and tells me how big it is and that Keighan must be getting crunched in there. They both get a kick out of watching and feeling him move around, especially when he gets hiccups (which is a lot! I'm already prepping for another GERD baby). Logan kept asking before the appointment today if they were going to take him out of my tummy yet because he wants to see Keighan.
So we're in the final countdown now. Trying to finish prepping everything for K's arrival. My plan is to get a hospital bag packed and the car seat base in my car this weekend, just in case he decides to come early (I'm doubting that will happen, but ya never know!). The nursery is almost done, I have a few more things I want to do in there. Not sure why I feel the need to finish it before he arrives since he won't be sleeping in there the first few months!
Annnnnd since a blog posting here wouldn't be complete without some type of accompanying photo, here I am today with K weighing me down! (*gasp* I'm willingly posting a not so great pic of myself!)

Easter 2011
Happy Easter everyone!
Friday we dyed eggs. I tried to keep it as clean as possible, but who was I kidding with a 5 year old and 3 year old!
They wore gloves to keep their hands from being multi-colored for days to come...
which lasted all of about 30 seconds!

Landon actually does not like to get messy,
although it is inevitable!
He very carefully placed his eggs into the bowls
then wanted to wipe them clean if anything got on them.

Logan had Lightning McQueen stickers to decorate his eggs with.
He carefully placed several stickers on,
with Daddy's help,
and just as soon as they were all on he wanted to peel them back off!

The finished products!
Logan's ended up just being plain without anything on them.
Landon had Star Wars decorations on them.
Mommy got in on the action and made a few too :)

Dan had duty on Saturday, which means he wasn't relieved until about 8am on Sunday. So I had to get creative about how the EB would come to visit us this year! I put together the baskets then hid them in the back of my car. At one point while the boys were distracted I snuck out into the garage and grabbed them then went through the gate into the backyard and put them on the patio table. We hadn't hyped up that Easter was today. Logan knew it was and woke me up saying "Happy Easter, I want some chocolate eggs!" Landon never mentioned it. I was afraid what they would think if there was nothing visible from the EB. Thankfully crisis was avoided. In the back of my car I had also put all the eggs for the egg hunt. When Dan got home he went straight to work hiding them before he ever came in so the boys never knew. It's near impossible to get the boys dressed unless they know we are going somewhere. So I told them we were going to go out to breakfast for something fun and different once Daddy got home, and they went for it. So after the eggs were hidden then Dan came inside acting like he just got home from work. The boys were very excited about going out to breakfast. So we went out to my car and we spotted a trail of carrots leading to the back yard! There they started seeing eggs and eventually their baskets. Landon was SO excited about all the eggs he wasn't interested in his basket at all!
How the baskets were set up on the table outside
(this was Sat night though after I put them together)

A new Lightning McQueen
We have multiples of this exact same one
(it came in a set),
but he was still super excited about it!

Logan with his swimming Nemo.
A week or so ago the boys got hair cuts.
At the barber shop there were several Nemos,
it was nearly impossible to get Logan to leave them there.

Then knowing his brother is a huge McQueen fanatic
he promptly decided to give it to Logan!
Love my sweet boys!

As Logan found eggs he insisted on opening each one as he put it in his basket.
Often times he'd snack a little too as he went.
Logan found some eggs at the top of his new house
(which is what he calls the fort part of the play set)

Logan lost interest in the egg hunt pretty quickly.
He wanted to check out what he found
(and eat anything chocolate in sight),
and play with his new goodies!

My happy guys!
So now they're on a sugar high thanks to goodies in their baskets and the eggs they found. I'm crossing my fingers that means they'll crash for a nap, but am not holding my breath on that hope!
USS Alabama
Last Sunday (the 17th), Dan took the boys out to check out the USS Alabama and everything else that they have there. It gave Mommy some time to do some shopping (Easter goodies), without the little ones seeing everything. The boys had a blast seeing the ship, airplanes, tanks, and everything else there! Last time we went Landon was only about 8 weeks old! Here are a few pics from the Daddy and boys outing!

T-ball game #3
Today was t-ball game #3 for the season, also picture day!
....and this is how the day began.
Mr Cranky Pants was NOT interested in t-ball today.
He did NOT want his picture taken.
Yup, today I was mean mom and took a pic of him like this.
Getting set up for the team pic.
Logan sat there still but refused to look at the camera!
Landon kept trying to get him to look to no avail.
After Logan and I had some quiet time in the car, he decided he was ready to play.
Here are my 2 first basemen wanting the ball!
I'm not sure what is up with the backwards hat...
but that's how he insisted it be worn during the 2nd inning
I guess all that base running and dancing was tiring,
so Logan took his own time out on the 3rd base bag
Running to get an out!

Jumping home
Yep...they are still dog piling.
The 1st inning Landon did well staying at 1st base.
The 2nd inning he wanted in on the tackling action.
Here a coach is pulling Landon out of the bottom of the pile since he got the ball.

The day started off rough thanks to Logan...but after his attitude changed it was a great game for everyone. He's playing more and more each week, just has to be his idea. Landon is having a lot more fun this year, probably because it is extremely unstructured (which really, I'm not a fan of just how lax it is...some safety issues at times!), and he gets to play all the time. He certainly has improved over last year and this has helped change his outlook on the sport though so that makes mama happy! Of course I'm going to smile seeing them on the diamond having fun and doing well!
